Does the name on my ID need to match my name as listed on the voter registration rolls?
NO: Per the Texas Secretary of State’s Office: "Voters do not need to show additional documentation if their names are identical or substantially similar. No voter should be turned away, and voters with substantially similar names should be offered a regular ballot - not a provisional ballot.”
Does the gender marker on my ID need to match the gender listed on my voter registration application?
NO: there is no legal requirement for that in Texas law. If a poll worker challenges you on your gender marker, please call the 866-OUR-VOTE Election Protection hotline for assistance immediately.

TX Election ID Certificates, US Military ID Cards, and US Passports do not have gender markers (all other types of accepted photo IDs do)
Can a poll worker ask me questions about my medical history to determine whether I am the same person as on the rolls?
NO: a voter is under no obligation to provide confidential medical history to prove their eligibility to vote.
Can I still vote if I don’t look like the picture on my ID anymore?
YES: if your appearance has changed since the image on your photo ID was taken, such that a poll worker cannot confirm that you are the same person in the photo, you will have to cast a provisional ballot, AND THEN

visit your county voter registrar’s office no later than 6 calendar days after Election Day to verify your identity by presenting one of the following documents:

a marriage license, a letter from a physician, a court order reflecting a name change, OR sign an affidavit swearing that you are the person on your ID
